Delco Dems and Censorship in Delaware County

It's been awhile since I posted anything "political" here, but this is a reminder to ALL Delconians of just what the Delaware County Democratic Party is all about. If you do not agree with them, especially if your a Republican or Conservative or even have no real political affiliation, they WILL censor you on their Facebook Page and God knows what else. A little backstory on this that leads me to believe why they blocked me. I was informed by Google last October, before the November elections, that someone put in a "complaint" about this blog, that it was biased towards Democrats.

Google just let me know through my blogger interface, where I have a few blogs dating back to 2002. I dug a little deeper and found that it was a specific page that since been mysteriously deleted.

Fast forward until yesterday. I'm having my usual dose of the Coronavirus pandemic, how some feel that it's fake, overblown, our freedom is gone, etc, etc. So it led me to the "Official" Facebook Page of the Delaware County Democratic Party, called the Delco Dems. It's was created in July of 2009.

I was logged in on facebook under my "Franny Ward" account, one that I've had since 2007 when I clicked on the link to read through and then reply to a few posts. Here I am BLOCKED from replying or posting anything on any post. Ok I thought. I'm not a member or anything, then I realize it's a Page, not a Group. There is no "Membership" required.

Funny thing is? I never posted anything there ever. So just WHO's feather's did i rattle? guess I will have to go through every post on this blog and try to connect the dots.
Here is a screenshot from my Franny Ward account.

And here is one from my "other" account.

For them to block me like this just reinforces my distrust of local Democrats in general. and we won't even get into the George Soro's "Affair" with them here locally, one where they magically swept Delco up in their "Blue wave". One where they took County Council, The DA's office, and a shitload of local representatives from the Republicans.

Stronghold or Stranglehold?

Well Happy New Year to the few who read this Blog anymore. A lot of things have changed over the years since I first started this blog. The biggest shocker of 2019 was the take over of Delaware County by the Democratic Party, or I should say "Delco Dems".

From the Judges of the Superior Court, the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas, County Council, The District Attorney's office, Most of the Magisterial District Judge positions, and the Upper Darby School Board, Democrats were ALL voted in.

This is from what I hear the first time since the Civil War that Dems controlled Delaware County. A lot of people I see and hear have varied opinions for this. The current situation involving the President, Minorities moving in to the area from Philly, even George Soro's intervention by donating over a million bucks to the Party.

One thing is clear at least from my standpoint. Our new Mayor here in Upper Darby, Barbarann Keffer, has had a pitiful record of managing a small borough of Milbourne, to the point of being fired. She, as a council member, didn't contribute much. There is her questionable allegiance to Margo Davidson. I'm really hoping that these newly elected officials keep their "Promises" and are open and transparent. Only time will tell. Enough said. For now.

Cheers.

Stopping The Madness

After the most recent horrific school shooting in Florida, it seems that everyone has an answer as what to do to keep something like it from happening again. This columnist, a former resident of Springfield, has the same old answer. More restrictions.

But Her's are what I would consider to be a direct "assault" on our constitutional rights. In the article, Ms Shaffer wants all gun owners to have a "Gun License", to purchase guns, ammo, even accessories. Her reasoning is, if someone buys a large amount of ammunition in a short time, a "red flag" would come up, alerting the authorities. That alone is an invasion of privacy. Imagine getting into your car, and detectors go off, alerting the "authorities" that you have been drinking. Not enough to be legally intoxicated, but enough for a "red flag" to go up.

And all this information was fed into databases, then shared with others. Next thing your insurance company drops you, your health care provider demands you go to an alcohol rehabilitation, and your neighbors find out. I know, seriously far fetched, right?  Well, actually, Ms. Shaffer's ideas are quite in line, only with guns, not booze.

Madness indeed.

The Daily Times Needs YOU!

As I sit here on a half decent Sunday morning, I checked out the Daily Times web site as I usually do every day. I see that Phil Heron, editor of the times is pushing his recruting drive to have local people (like me) to join the ranks of "Community Journalists ". People like Lou Mahlman, Buck Fleming, KatieRose Keenan, Eric Koehler, and Jennifer Hoff have answered the call. My question is: Will the Daily Times staff feel threatened by them? Am I crazy here? Nope, you see the days of print (as in newspapers) journalism are slowly dying, replaced by facebook, myspace, twitter and other online mediums.

Journalist like Alex Rose (Who interviewed me several years ago about our website) have great talent in reporting and commenting on a story. To read it online just isn't the same as sitting in my van in the morning, drinking a Wawa coffee, and reading it on paper. I am afraid (some beg to differ) that the newspaper business is going to the wayside of the typewriter and shoe repairman. Only time will tell.

Oh yeah, and if anyone from Delaware County wants to contribute here? By all means you can contact me at frannyward@yahoo.com . You MUST have a blogger or gmail account because Google bought Blogger and now Google is demanding it. Oh how I miss the typewriter.

Cheers:)
