Maddie Hogan - Local Singer from Delco

Maddie or "Madeliene Hogan", is a local singer/songwriter who grew up here and still lives in Delaware County. She often plays the local bar circuits, and competitions. She has a rather large fan base, and I am one of them ever since listening to her and my son "Nicky Stix" do a rendition of  "Take My Heart".

So take notice: Maddie is fast becoming more popular than ever. I look forward for her to someday be on "The Voice" or another music talent show.

Cheers.

Anna Clendening - Pulling yourself out of Depression & Anxiety

Make no bones about it. Depression &;Anxiety is REAL, as evidenced and documented in countless studies, medical journals, and in real life. We see it sometimes in ourselves, and friends & family. I recently have been battling depression & anxiety, and the "Old" way to do it was to drink.

Excessively.

But by the grace of God I pulled myself up, and with the help of a few friends (Online, never met them), I slowly bounced back. Watching Anna preform in front of thousands of people also gave me courage and determination to live again.

Here's Anna preforming on "America's Got Talent"

Hats off to you Anna. Hope to meet you someday.

Soraia

Happy New Year! I've been controlling my self from posting my opinions on world issues , namely politics, and felt the NEED to tell you all about a local band that although I've never seen preform in person (yet), they really get me rocking. Their name is Soraia, the band consists of from their web site - Dave Justo (lead guitar), Travis Smith (bass guitar), Sue Mansour (vocals, tambo), Joe Armstrong (drums), and Joe Francia (rhythm guitar)... They have a new CD out called Shed The Skin. A bit different from Recipe For Disaster, but the mix of Joplin like, sixties - seventies gritty music combined with Susan's hard core yet subtle? vixen voice makes for a decent sound. They rock! - No offense Howard. Anyway, I plan to see them at Tom n Jerry's in Milmont Park (I call it Ridley) on the 17th of January. Cheers and stay safe.
