It's Been Awhile

Yes it has been awhile since I posted here on the blog. Mainly because of going thru the winter with about half the work as an electrician, the other was I kind of lost interest in the web site, until today.You see, our web provider, IPOWER, shut the web site down this morning all because of an application called Joombla. I purchaced it last year for $12.95. I installed it but couldn't get the templates to work. So I deleted it. Seems that IPOWER hadan automatic yearly subscription fee, and the card I used then is expired. No warning, just shut down the site. Well now after spending over an hour with some guy living in India for over an hour, I am going to re vasmp the web site. Cheers.

The Stand

I received a pre-recorded message from the Superintendent of Upper Darby's Police, Michael Chitwood last week informing me of a town meeting to be held right across the field from where my Mother still lives. I didn't give it much thought, being that I live in Clifton Heights, where were relatively still safe? from these cretins who commit violence. Then the other night I watched Steven King's "The Stand", a movie that pitted good against evil, Armageddon at it's finest. Lastly I came across a fellow local blogger who posted her thoughts on the meeting and came to the conclusion that we here in Delco need to make a stand. From Darby to Chester to Middletown to Sharon Hill, Delconians of all races, religions and political affiliation need to get involved and help keep ourselves and our neighbors safe. Change Or Chains?

Seems that our newly selected President has a new web site. I find it appalling that he wants to require all Children that are in Middle and High School to do 50 hours of Community Service, you know, like what we have here in Delco for "minor crime" offenders? Don't believe me? Read on: America Serves "When you choose to serve -- whether it's your nation, your community or simply your neighborhood -- you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That's why it's called the American dream." The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start. If I remember my history right, didn't Hitler start his "Hitler Youth Movement" in the same fashion, by rewarding those who "serve their community"? And to think I was all in a bunch when I heard that Bush wanted all children to have mental health screenings.. Cheers.

Tina Fey Cracks Me Up

You got to hand it to her, the resemblance to Gov.Sarah Palin is remarkable. Tina a.k.a Elizabeth grew up in Upper Darby, in the Cardington section (right across the A.A. field from my house in Stonehurst), and went to the Cardington Elementary School, then B.H.J.H.S., then Upper Darby High School. I always wanted to ask her these questions:

Tina. Did you ever hang out at "Mediterranean Pizza" on Marshall and 69th St? Go bowling at Gehris Lanes on Market St? The Bolero to shoot pool? Go to the Tower Theatre on Ludlow? Go to the "M&M Market" or the "10th Inning"? Attend "Tot Lot"? Seriously, What I really want to ask you is how you felt about growing up in Cardington, and how did you get that scar. Was it down at Cobbs Creek at the Ice & Coal plant? The See Saw at 69th st? The Bolero? Gino's? Wawa? My buddy say's he heard it was from a dog near the firehouse. I also hear recently it was from an attack under the Marshall Rd Bridge. To tell you the truth I really do not care how you got it, I have many of my own.. Great job doing the parodies, you crack me up in this crazy world!

My problem with this web site is that they associate Mr. Miccarelli with condoning the "war" in Iraq and Afghanistan, while not posting that Mr. Miccarelli is a Veteran. A heads up to the owners of NOGOODNICK.NET. Your playing shitty politics, and it will backfire right in your face, just as Sarah Palin's assault on BHO being connected with so called "terrorist". And from the Daily Times: "Miccarelli fought to ensure the re-election of the worst presidential team in history, serving as the Bush-Cheney team's director for South Philadelphia," the site reads. "We have nothing but respect for the brave men and women of our armed forces," said Shafer in an e-mail. They are simply attempting to distort reality because they can't dispute the facts about his political mentors." Excuse me? What does a LOCAL politician's view of Washington have to do with LOCAL representation? NOTHING! To John DeFrancisco? In my opinion you are a dirty dog who needs a bath. I suggest you go see the movie "Beverly Hills Chihuahua". Your gonna lose and lose big. Last but not least, Nick Micozzie and Mario Civera have been my State reps over the years. Both are Republican, both have served well to the community for many years. Although I cannot stand George Bush or Cheney, or even entertain the thought of voting for a man who wants to reinstate the draft, Locally? It's a no brainer. Getting Away With Murder

I cannot believe that after 50 plus days Lemuel Payne is not behind bars charged with the hit and run death of Faith Sinclair. it was Payne's car that struck her, and DNA taken from it will prove that. The car was found hidden in an Upper Darby garage if my memory is correct. How can someone hide behind a lawyer? Is this guy rich or does he have some dirt on some people? If it were you or me we would be incarcerated in the county prison. "No one has talked with Lemuel Payne, not from our end," said Tinsley. "We know he's in the area still. Authorities haven't had contact with him yet." No contact? He owns the car, correct? It was hidden with a tarp over it, correct? I wonder if Faith was some ultra rich important daughter of some really well to do family the wheels of justice would be turning much faster, and Payne would be on trial already. No, Faith Sinclair was just an average young woman, visiting some friends and happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. To Lemuel? Fess up you coward. I know you did it, you know you did it. The whole county knows you did it. But if you didn't? Why hide? Did you ever hear of Karma? P.s. To the passenger in the car? Spill your guts to the police, collect the 10k reward, and donate it to your defense fund for aiding and abetting a coward

This visitor used Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1. Every day I check our referrer logs to see who is searching for what. I came across the above a few minutes ago. So what does it mean? Well it seems that someone using a computer from Wellesley College searched Google for "slip a mickey rape". using the phrase "mickey" means to me that they aren't college age, more like a professor or staff member. Maybe I watch too much CSI. Cheers.
