Taking Away Our Guns?

I just was reading an article in the Delaware County Sunday Times where Mike Chitwood had a sobriety checkpoint set up on the border between West Philly and Millbourne. He had over 30 officers from various locales, as far away as Brookhaven. Mr. Chitwood is quoted as saying: " One guy had two guns, a .45 and 9 mm." "He was ready for war. We're keeping the guns even though he has a permit to carry". My question is: What right does Chief Chitwood have in doing this? The guy had a permit, yet they "Confiscated" his firearms. Is the "right to bear arms" null and void in Upper Darby?

  1. A few were drunk, I have no problem with Chitwood busting them. The article did not mention that the guy with the guns and the permit to carry was intoxicated or arrested. It just quoted chief Chitwood saying he took the man's guns. I am pro owning guns and pro 2nd admendment rights, hell I can't stand what has happened since 9-11-01 all in the name of "Homeland Security". But that opinion is still my right.. For the time being.

America to me is slowly becoming a "police state", just like Nazi Germany was, because of false flags.. Remember this: The Law Enforcement people are NOT above the laws of the land. They are to "serve and protect". Right?
enforce the laws, don't break or twist them. When that day comes that they knock on my door for my belief in the Constitution? I'm outta here.

    Cheers.

  2. Something definitely stinks about this. More info should be looked at, FWIW.

I own two guns (actually, a LOT more) and I keep both handguns on me at all times when not at work (I'm a paramedic and the Dept of Health kinda frowns on armed medics ;) )and I have a CCW permit, too.

Gonna have to look at not driving through UD any time soon.

  3. Quit crying for christs sakes! Who needs TWO pistols on them? All guns should be outlawed. Americans have too many damn guns.

  4. Guns aren't the problem. Irresponsible use, possession, and retailing of weapons is the problem - plus a general lack of respect for human life.

In other news, Chitwood's UDPD is heralding the "Not in My Town, Scumbag!" shirt to herald Clint Chiefwood's toughguy mantra. I guess they have no problem with a scumbag on their chest, or they don't know its historical meaning (drop the "s" for semen).

  5. I talked with a friend who is a cop and he informed me that the man was drunk. No where did the article imply that. Maybe the times should do a better job out of quoting people.

Regardless, does the guy get his guns back after the trial? Or does Chitwood add them to his personal collection?

I have always said that "Permits" and "Licenses" are a clever way for the government to get around the true law of the land.

Think about it. Americans are restricted in many ways from these "road blocks".. Building, Driving, Hunting, Fishing, Selling, Working, Burying, Swimming, Eating, Breathing, Drinking, the list goes on and on..
