Delco Dems and Censorship in Delaware County

It's been awhile since I posted anything "political" here, but this is a reminder to ALL Delconians of just what the Delaware County Democratic Party is all about. If you do not agree with them, especially if your a Republican or Conservative or even have no real political affiliation, they WILL censor you on their Facebook Page and God knows what else. A little backstory on this that leads me to believe why they blocked me. I was informed by Google last October, before the November elections, that someone put in a "complaint" about this blog, that it was biased towards Democrats.

Google just let me know through my blogger interface, where I have a few blogs dating back to 2002. I dug a little deeper and found that it was a specific page that since been mysteriously deleted.

Fast forward until yesterday. I'm having my usual dose of the Coronavirus pandemic, how some feel that it's fake, overblown, our freedom is gone, etc, etc. So it led me to the "Official" Facebook Page of the Delaware County Democratic Party, called the Delco Dems. It's was created in July of 2009.

I was logged in on facebook under my "Franny Ward" account, one that I've had since 2007 when I clicked on the link to read through and then reply to a few posts. Here I am BLOCKED from replying or posting anything on any post. Ok I thought. I'm not a member or anything, then I realize it's a Page, not a Group. There is no "Membership" required.

Funny thing is? I never posted anything there ever. So just WHO's feather's did i rattle? guess I will have to go through every post on this blog and try to connect the dots.

For them to block me like this just reinforces my distrust of local Democrats in general. and we won't even get into the George Soro's "Affair" with them here locally, one where they magically swept Delco up in their "Blue wave". One where they took County Council, The DA's office, and a shitload of local representatives from the Republicans. 

The Great Pandemic of 2020

It seems that here in Delaware County, since the Democrats took over, there is little news of what's being done locally. We have to get our information from the MSM. I do not believe their skewed and biased reporting. 

I know that people are going batty being cooped up in their homes. Small Businesses are closed and teetering on Bankruptcy. and on Facebook and Twitter? nothing but Political bullshit being spewed out on both sides, instead of rallying together.

Stronghold or Stranglehold?

Well Happy New Year to the few who read this Blog anymore. A lot of things have changed over the years since I first started this blog. The biggest shocker of 2019 was the take over of Delaware County by the Democratic Party, or I should say "Delco Dems".

From the Judges of the Superior Court, the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas, County Council, The District Attorney's office, Most of the Magisterial District Judge positions, and the Upper Darby School Board, Democrats were ALL voted in.

This is from what I hear the first time since the Civil War that Dems controlled Delaware County. A lot of people I see and hear have varied opinions for this. The current situation involving the President, Minorities moving in to the area from Philly, even George Soro's intervention by donating over a million bucks to the Party.

One thing is clear at least from my standpoint. Our new Mayor here in Upper Darby, Barbarann Keffer, has had a pitiful record of managing a small borough of Milbourne, to the point of being fired. She, as a council member, didn't contribute much. There is her questionable allegiance to Margo Davidson. I'm really hoping that these newly elected officials keep their "Promises" and are open and transparent. Only time will tell. Enough said. For now.

North Philly and the M.O.V.E. Debacle

I remember back in 1985 when I was just coming home from work. IO had called my then girlfriend Bernadette and asked Her what the hell was going on in West Philly, all the helicopters and police as I was detoured while heading home.

I turned on the TV and saw a live view of a State Police Helicopter circling over the park down the street, as my house was on the Upper Darby side of Cobbs Creek. Then BOOM! The windows rattled and a shock wave came up the street.

Needless to say the rest of the day and night went into history, one that I witnessed first hand from only about 200 yards away at St. Demetrios Church, on Powell Lane.

what's going on now up in the "Nicetown" section of Philly just reminded me of that deadly day. Prayers for the six Philly Cops who were shot today.

Social Media Timeline

Well I do. And it seems that because of the explosion of "Social Media" sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, the blogs like this one have pretty much gone by the wayside. I started this blog a few years after I hosted and ran a website called Totally Delco around 2003. The website, for all it was worth, was just a bunch of links to local businesses, and some local government links.

I soon started posting to and linking on my site on Live Journal with a Blog called "Living In Delco", to complement it. Bring alcohol and politics into the picture, and trouble soon began. I remember having whole threads deleted by someone who hacked into my admin account. And having my whole website shut down because of some asshole troll who went by the name of "Michael Crook" sending myself and my web host a DMCA notice that I was using his picture without his permission (He lost and got made an ass out of himself).

There was the interview with Alex Rose, of the Delaware County Daily Times, about my website, myself explaining to him that I started it because I couldn't find as furniture store locally to buy a mattress.Now in 2019, this blog and my website are hard to find on Google. I googled "I Live In Delaware County" and where I used to be number one out of hundreds of thousands, now non existent.

Facebook is the new norm for people my age and  thirty years older and younger, while the really young ones post on Twitter and Snapchat. 

So with all that I'm leaving some links to various blogs and web sites that I had a hand in starting, promoting, and running over the years.
